Information Security Awareness Survey (NEW)
This survey measures information security knowledge of employees. It is tailored to incorporate the requirements of the organisation’s information security policy and organisational risk environment. It can be used prior to an information security awareness programme in order to direct the programme and budget. It can also be deployed after an information security awareness programme to determine the success and areas of development of the information security awareness programme. The survey data can be used to benchmark information security awareness levels prior and after an information security awareness programme.

Recommendations could for instance relate to key concepts of the information security policy that requires communication, which job levels or departments require specific training, what the training should comprise of or preferred communication channels. The recommendations and action plans serve as input to the information security awareness and training strategy and programmes.

Information Security Culture Survey (NEW)
With 2-3% of an organisations annual profit being lost due to information security incidents of which 80% relate to inside employees this assessment could aid in addressing the risk that inside user behaviour pose to the protection of information assets.

The information security culture survey measures whether the interaction of employees with information assets are conducive to the protection of information assets based on a research model developed. It determines how employees perceive information security culture in the organisation - do they have a positive or negative perception towards it.

The results of the survey are used to address developmental areas in order to improve the information security culture to an acceptable level. Areas that are assessed are leadership and governance; security management and organisation; security policies; security programme management; user security management; technology protection and operations; and change management.

The information security culture questionnaire can be customised based on the requirements of the organisation’s information security policy and environment.

Organisations that process personal information (e.g name, surname, identity number or correspondence) of employees, customers or third parties need to comply with the requirements of privacy and data legislation. The information security culture questionnaire can also be customised to incorporate the requirements of the protection of personal information as required by legislation (e.g. Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)).
