Martins
Nico has contributed to more than 600 organisational surveys and has led numerous employee engagement projects. He holds a PhD in Industrial Psychology and is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a psychologist.
In addition to his own research, many of his master’s and doctoral students have expanded on his work in organisational culture, examining sub‑cultures, organisational commitment, employee satisfaction, leader emotional competence, personality type, occupational health, and employee engagement.
He is an Emeritus Professor of Industrial Psychology at the University of South Africa (Unisa), where he has served since 1995. His specialist fields include organisational psychology, organisational development, and change management.
As a consultant, Nico has supported a wide range of private and public organisations through survey‑based interventions and organisational development projects. His client list includes, among others: Absa, Bigen Africa, Business Connexion, City of Johannesburg, Gauteng Department of Education, Johannesburg Water, Gulf Hotel (Bahrain), UNICEF, Yum Group, Van Schaiks, SANParks, Gauteng Enterprise Propeller, and Woolworths.

Dr. Ellen
Martins
Ellen is a management consultant at Organisational Diagnostics with experience in more than 600 organisational projects. She specialises in survey design, online hosting, data analysis, and reporting to help organisations improve workplace culture, measure employee satisfaction, and guide leadership decisions.
She mentored Master’s and Doctoral students at UNISA and holds a Doctorate in Information Science, focusing on knowledge management, organisational behaviour, and organisational development. Her Master’s degree explored creativity and innovation in organisational culture.
An award‑winning researcher, Ellen has published widely and presented at international conferences. Her work has been recognised by Emerald/EFMD and the Literati Network for contributions to organisational culture and knowledge management.
She continues to bring together academic insight and practical consulting expertise to help organisations grow and succeed.
