Organisational Culture Survey

Based on a researched cultural model, this questionnaire measures your organisation’s existing and ideal culture. The questionnaire was locally developed for South African circumstances. Organisations can use this instrument for organisational development, team building, cultural change and much more.

Climate Survey

The questionnaire assesses an organisation’s current state of functioning. The results will enable work groups and management to identify strong and weak dimensions to plan and implement actions to improve the functioning of the weaker dimensions. This survey focuses on employees’ satisfaction / dissatisfaction.

Employment Equity / Diversity Survey

The questionnaire measures employees’ attitudes to the implementation of affirmative action / employment equity / diversity. The results will enable the organisation’s management to identify those processes that will promote employment equity and diversity as well as those that will undermine it.

Client / Customer Satisfaction Survey

The questionnaire assesses the various dimensions of customer/client service as adapted for specific markets. It determines the perceptions of employees in various departments of the services they receive/give. It also measures the customer perception of the effectiveness of the services received i.e. quality, competence, urgency, value added and customer orientation.

Competing values framework

The Competing Values Framework (CVF) is a widely used model in organisational theory and management practice developed by Robert E. Quinn and John Rohrbaugh in the 1980s. It provides a framework for understanding and assessing organisational culture based on two sets of competing values: flexibility versus stability and internal focus versus external focus.

The CVF emphasises that no single quadrant is “best.” High-performing organisations integrate and balance these competing values depending on context, strategy, and environment.

The questionnaire consist of 16 culture orientation questions consisting of four dimensions, dominant organisational characteristics, organisational leadership, organisational glue that holds the organisation together and organisational emphases. This a valuable questionnaire to use in conjunction with the employee engagement or culture survey.

Employee Engagement Questionnaire

Employee engagement can be defined as follows: “Employee engagement refers to ‘engaged employees’ at both the individual and organisational level, who are fully absorbed by and enthusiastic about their work, and so take positive action to further the organisation’s reputation and interests.”

The following dimensions (drivers of employee engagement) are measured:

  • The valid and reliable questionnaire was locally developed for South African circumstances
  • Has been validated in the South African context for the diverse SA population (that can be customised further given clients’ needs)
  • It has been used in several national Employee Engagement Surveys to establish industry benchmarks.
  • The employee engagement research also focused on organisational factors that have the greatest impact on employee engagement
  • A number of master’s and doctoral students used the questionnaire in their research, and several accredited articles were published.
